🎯 Vision & Mission

From a Web2 that pits people against each other, to a Web3 inbound economy built together.

Web2, as we use the word here, means an economy managed and operated by corporations. Web3 means an economy where rights are proven on a blockchain and sovereignty belongs to the individual. Matsuri Coin (MTC) exists to carry Japan's ε’Œ (wa β€” harmony) across that divide, and to turn it into the world's engine of co-creation.

A bridge of ε’Œ β€” the light of harmony connecting people across cultures.

What is Japanese culture?

Count from the Jōmon era and its roots stretch back millennia; count by the imperial calendar or by scholarly consensus and the answers differ again. Interpretations of the origin vary. But one thing is indisputable: a culture of compassion and harmony has been carried forward on this land for a very long time.

ζΈ©ζ•…ηŸ₯ζ–° (onko-chishin β€” "study the old to understand the new") is our method. We learn from that inherited wisdom and fuse it with the newest technology. What we aim for is a society in which everyone involved cares about each other β€” and that care keeps circulating.

ε’Œγ‚’γ‚‚γ£γ¦θ²΄γ—γ¨γͺす β€” value is born from harmony

ε’Œγ‚’γ‚‚γ£γ¦θ²΄γ—γ¨γͺす (wa o motte tōtoshi to nasu β€” "harmony is the most precious thing") is Japan's oldest constitutional principle. We take it literally as economic design.

Not competition, but co-creation. Not taking from one another, but rewarding everyone who is involved. This is not wishful thinking: blockchain and smart contracts now let us guarantee fairness as a rule, without relying on anyone's goodwill. An economy where every participant is rewarded under transparent rules β€” that is what we are building.

A bridge that runs in both directions

For Japanese people β€” an international experience you can enter without anxiety. A structure where taking pride in your own culture and sharing it with the world actually rewards you.

For international visitors β€” an experience that touches the essence of Japanese culture, not just its surface. A door to "Deep Japan" that a package tour can never open.

People of different cultures experiencing, creating, and learning together. We believe the accumulation of those exchanges is what produces understanding across borders.

Not a concept deck β€” a live economy

This vision is already running in production. The apps are on the App Store, the sites are live, and MTC circulates through them today.

How the mission becomes a mechanism

Concretely, we are building an economy of three products and one token.

J-Times

A Japanese-culture media platform β€” articles, podcasts, video. Read, listen, and share to earn MTC. See Media

GCF

An international community that trains guides, plans events, and moves the ecosystem from the inside. See GCF

Mission needs a mechanism

Mission alone cannot protect culture. It needs a sustainable economic engine underneath it. The next chapter looks honestly at the real-world challenges standing in the way β€” and how technology resolves them: Challenges & Solutions.
